If your child is currently enrolled in Monroe County School District and has a current IEP or 504 plan, this information is for you. The McKay Scholarship program provides an option for eligible students to attend a participating private school or transfer to another public school as defined by the program guidelines. Superintendent Theresa Axford is pleased to announce Marissa Means as the new Coordinator of Comprehensive Health and STEM, stepping into the role vacated by Melissa Alsobrooks who moved to the assistant principal position at Key West High School.
Monroe County School District (MCSD) high school students will have the opportunity to participate in a new career internship program next school year, according to Superintendent Theresa Axford. Monroe Occupation and Vocational Experiences (MOVE) is a partnership between the MCSD and community businesses to provide career training for high school juniors and seniors in various fields.
Incentives are doubled from $250 to $500 to reward all students who excel in AP Computer Science (AP CS) or attain the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification. <Monroe /> COMPUTE$ is making extra funding available to reward the students who earn the MOS industry certificate or pass the AP CS exam with a three or above during the 2020-2021 school year.
