  • Reminder: Stay Home if You are Sick

Just a reminder to parents, students and staff: the school district is no longer performing Covid contact tracing, so it is very important for us all to pay close attention to our own health and safety. If you are feeling sick stay home until you are feeling better. If symptoms persist, please see a medical professional. We must all work together to stop the spread of Covid in our schools and staying home ensures you do not infect others. Thank you!

  • School Board votes to make masks optional

The Monroe County School Board voted to suspend their current mask policy and instate optional masking throughout the district for teachers, staff and students. This new policy requires a discussion with the Monroe County Teachers’ Union who negotiate for both teachers and school related personnel. The district will endeavor to meet with them as soon as possible to discuss how to implement the Board’s direction. Although that meeting will provide additional procedural methods of implementation, the Board’s decision takes effect immediately.

  • School Supply Information for the 2021-2022 School Year

Before we know it, the 2021-2022 school year will be here and teachers and staff have already begun planning. Just like last year, we want to provide an opportunity to remove the obstacles of school supply shopping for our families. Parents have the option to have school supplies provided for the entire school year for $20.00 per student. This will include all crayons, pencils, markers, glue, etc., that are on the usual ‘Supply List’. Each student would only be responsible for bringing a backpack and lunchbox (if needed). Everything else will be waiting in the classroom. The Monroe County School District is now conveniently accepting online payments. Please scan the QR Code below to pay for the supplies for the appropriate grade level your child will attend. Please call the office at 305.289.2490 if you have any questions. Thank you!
