Veteran educator Laura Lietaert took over the Principalship of Coral Shores High School at the begining of the 2021-2022 school year, taking over for retiring principal Blake Fry. Superintendent Theresa Axford emphasized her "years of innovative leadership and dedication" when announcing the appointment.
Monroe County School District Superintendent Theresa Axford announced that veteran educator, Laura Lietaert, will be the next Coral Shores High School (CSHS) principal. Lietaert, who is the current principal of Key Largo School (KLS), will take over for retiring principal, Blake Fry beginning the 2021-2022 school year.
In the past 27 years, Lietaert has served KLS in the capacity of teacher, assistant principal and principal. She is known for her willingness to take on new challenges. Lietaert spearheaded her school’s Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) initiative, earning KLS the highly distinctive title of “model school.” Her strong ties with the community have brought on a multitude of opportunities for her students and their families.
