Notice of Public Meeting: School Board
Posted by Becky Herrin on 6/6/2023On Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the School Board will hold a Closed Executive Session starting at 4:30 P.M. for Collective Bargaining, followed by a Closed Litigation Session pursuant to Fla. Stat. 286.011 (8) Gina Jensen, et al. v. The School Board of Monroe County, Florida (Case No. 22-CA 000194-M). The Regular Business Meeting will begin at 5:00 P.M. The host location is at Coral Shores High School Media Center, 89901 Old Hwy, Tavernier, FL 33070.
Citizens wishing to address the Board on any agenda item before action should register to speak during the Citizen Input segment of the meeting by calling (305) 293-1400 ext. 53323 no later than 2:00 P.M of the meeting day. Upon arrival at the meeting, speakers will complete the Speaker's Form.
If accommodations for a qualifying disability under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) are needed, please call 305-293-1400 ext. 53323 no less than three (3) business days prior the meeting.

If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board, with respect to any matter considered at a School Board meeting or hearing, that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings are made.

Posted by Becky Herrin on 5/19/2023The Monroe County School District (MCSD) and the United Teachers of Monroe (UTM) convenes annually to bargain conditions pertinent to the UTM, Teachers and SRP Contracts. Our next bargaining session has been scheduled for Monday, May 22, 2023, from 9:00 a.m.. – 11:00 a.m., at the Monroe County School District Administrative Offices located at 241 Trumbo Road in Key West, Florida. The meetings will be conducted in person. For any inquiries, please contact Harry Russell by email at: Harry.Russell@keysschools.com no later than Noon, the day before a scheduled session.
