College of the Florida Keys Scholarships
The CFK Foundation was established to support The College of the Florida Keys' students, programs and services by providing scholarships to CFK students through the support of private donors and public agencies. Criteria for awards differ for each scholarship and may be based on financial need, grade point average, essay submissions, leadership, and character. Please see the lists below for available opportunities.
CFK NOW (Nextgen Opportunity Workforce) Scholarship- Deadline: Feb 28 2025
Southern Scholarship Foundation
The Southern Scholarship Foundation provides rent-free housing and cooperative living for students in Florida who lack financial resources, demonstrate excellent academic merit, and exemplify good character. They have 26 houses across the state and offer various resources.
9th Annual Epic Aviation Scholarship Award
Epic Flight Academy offers annual aviation scholarships to U.S. high school students, awarding both pilot and aircraft mechanic scholarships, due October 1st.
The Florida Keys Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America 2025 College Scholarship
The Florida Keys Chapter of IWLA works to conserve, maintain, protect and restore the fragile natural resources of the Florida Keys and South Florida, to educate the public, particularly our youth, regarding those resources, and to promote ways to enjoy and use those resources in ways that simultaneously protect those resources and the ability of future generations to enjoy and use them. The Florida Keys Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America 2025 College Scholarship is a competitive award of $2,000.00, to be given next year to one student graduating from Monroe County’s Public High Schools; Coral Shores, Marathon or Key West. Student’s college plans must be for some aspect of biological or environmental study to be eligible for this scholarship.
PKS PTA Scholarship:
The Plantation School PTA is proud to offer several scholarships each year to current Coral Shores High School seniors.
This application is open to all Coral Shores seniors who attended PKS for a minimum of one year.
Please include two letters of recommendation with your application.
Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2025.

Coldwell Banker Schmitt Charitable Foundation Scholarship
DEADLINE: April 1st 2025
Coldwell Banker will award (3) essay contest winners. The essay is open to all graduating seniors who live in Monroe County (public, private, or homeschooled). All essays must be accompanied by the official cover form and your logged community service/volunteer hours. Must be submitted to Coldwell Banker Schmitt office, located at 29967 Overseas Hwy, Big Pine Key, FL 33043. They can be emailed to applications@gooddeedsinthekeys.org , mailed to the listed address, or delivered personally.
Credit Worthy Scholarship Contest
DEADLINE: January 15, 2025 (Fall Semester) and May 6, 2025 (Spring Semester)
OneMain Financial will be awarding thirty six students nationally with $1,000 in educational funding. The Credit Worthy Scholarship is open to U.S. high school students between 13-19 years old who have completed Build: Credit Fundamentals or at least 3 modules of a
course offered in the Credit Worthy program presented by OneMain Financial. Students will submit a short essay about what they learned and how the Credit Worthy program by OneMain Financial has made an impact on them for a chance to win.Financial Futures Tax Simulation Scholarship

In partnership with Intuit for Education, one student winner will be awarded $2,500 in educational funding from each
semester-based entry period during the 2024-25 school year. The Financial Futures Student Scholarship Contest is open to students (age 13-19) who have completed at least one lesson within the course Tax Simulation: Understanding Taxes.Sigma Omega General Scholarship

Sponsored by Sigma Omega Sorority, the scholarship is open to all 2025 Coral Shores graduating seniors who plan to continue their education by attending a University, College or Technical/Trade school. Both the CS General Scholarship Application and the Sigma Omega Financial Need Questionnaire must be submitted to sigmaomega.keys@gmail.com. Sigma Omega Outstanding Young Woman Scholarship
DEADLINE for submission is March 31, 2025
This scholarship is open to all 2025 Coral Shores senior young women who plan to continue their education at a university, college, or technical/trade school. A weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher is required. The Outstanding Young Woman scholarship application, the General Scholarship application and the Sigma Omega Financial Needs questionnaire should be submitted to sigmaomega.keys@gmail.com. Please include the applicant’s name and the scholarship name (Outstanding Young Woman) in the subject line of your email submission.
Elk's Legacy Awards
DEADLINE: February 3 2025 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time. NOTE: This is NOON, mid-day, Pacific time.
Who is Eligible? For the 2025 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the Order on or before April 1, 2022, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2022, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member for the last two contiguous years through March 31, 2025. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
The applicant must be a high school senior.
The applicant must apply online only.
If the applicant's parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must select the parent's Elks Lodge on the application.
We have waived the standardized test requirement for the 2025 Legacy contest. You do not need to submit ACT and/or SAT scores.
Students may apply for more than one ENF scholarship; however, they may win only one. In cases where the student wins more than one, we will award the scholarship with the greater value. Students can accept local and state scholarships, which are separate from the awards at the national level.
Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges or universities. (Note: Applicants from Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)

The applicant must be a child of a UTM member that has paid dues for at least one full calendar year to date.
Islamorada Fishing and Conservation Trust (IFACT) Scholarship
DEADLINE: April 21, 2025
Students pursuing a bachelor or associate degree with a major in marine affairs, marine biology, marine engineering, environmental studies or other degrees that are directly related to marine conservation and marine wildlife are eligible to apply. This application is also open to students that plan to attend a marine environment related trade school such as an outboard motor or diesel-mechanic school.

Guides Trust Foundation Scholarship
DEADLINE: April 15, 2025
GTF is pleased to announce that it will be awarding one or more $5,000 scholarships to deserving students who will be (i) graduating from a Monroe County High School in the Spring of 2025 and (ii) attending their chosen college / university in the fall of 2025. Qualified students who will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marine science, marine biology, marine resource management, environmental studies or other related majors are encouraged to apply. San Pedro Church Scholarship
DEADLINE: April 12, 2025
Graduating seniors who are active members of San Pedro Parish and are continuing their education at a college, junior college, or trade school are eligible to apply. Applicant’s parents must be registered members of the parish. The Scholarship is awarded based on past and continued service to the parish community.
The Hagan Scholarship
DEADLINE: March 15, 2025
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, providing recipients with the opportunity to achieve their goals and graduate college debt-free. The scholarship provides $2,000 to help pay for essential items to attend college and up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Free workshops, Free Schwab Brokerage Accounts, and Free Study Abroad provide recipients with a practical understanding of important life skills not typically covered in the school curriculum. Hagan Scholars have attended 637 colleges and universities located in 49 states and the District of Columbia and have studied abroad in 58 countries.
The Hagan Graduate Scholarships are for Hagan Scholars who have graduated college while in the Hagan Scholarship Program and are good for up to four additional semesters in college, providing up to $7,500 each semester to attend graduate school or the first two years of a professional program.Island Boat Show by Island Community Church Scholarship

The Carol Parker Scholarship Fund
DEADLINE: April 2, 2025
VOICES for Florida Keys Children, Inc., is a 501(c) 3 organization, who has since 1991, tried to meet the many needs of foster, Guardian ad Litem, and all children who are otherwise in need. These needs cover everything from clothes and shoes, tutoring, medical and dental care, class trips, school pictures, to camp and basketball uniforms — things all children need. We also have a Scholarship fund for youth who have been involved with a Guardian ad Litem or are otherwise in need to help with college or technical school expenses.
The Carol Parker fund was established in 2003 to help young people with assistance in becoming educated and successful citizens. The
purpose of the fund is to help provide for educational expenses: tuition, board, books, clothing, travel, or incidentals.
All applicants must submit the following:-

- Copy of applicant’s high school transcript or GED, and an acceptance letter from the applicant's college or vocational school
- A brief essay about yourself and your educational goals

Now in its fourth and final year, this scholarship has played a vital role in advancing local education and environmental stewardship. In the 2024-2025 academic year alone, UWCK awarded $28,000 in scholarships to 6 recipients, bringing the total number of scholars supported to 16. Since the program’s launch in 2022, nearly $70,000 has been invested in the academic pursuits of Monroe County residents. Larry Blass Memorial Scholarship

The Larry Blass Memorial Scholarship recognizes students who exemplify honor, integrity, and unwavering dedication to their studies. Applicants must demonstrate strong moral character, a commitment to ethical leadership, and a proven academic track record.

Reef Relief Scholarship

For graduating seniors within Monroe County who have displayed a passion for marine conservation. They should have experience with the ocean and documented community service. Applicants should be pursuing majors in marine affairs, marine biology, environmental studies, a related field OR a career related to marine conservation (i.e. Eco Tourism, obtaining a USCG Captains license, etc.).
Sons & Daughters of Italy
It is the goal of the Order Sons of Italy in America to promote, enhance and encourage the studies of Italian heritage and culture. This scholarship program is designed to benefit worthy students of Italian descent that display academic excellence, leadership qualities and a financial need.

The Nick Sheahan Scholarship

The Nick Sheahan scholarship, started in 2006, is funded by the annual Dolphin Rodeo to raise money to give back to the community in memory of Nick Sheahan. Key Largo Rotary Scholarship
DEADLINE: April 15, 2025
The Rotary Club of Key Largo offers scholarships to Upper Keys residents who want to enhance their education and/or training and who plan to utilize these improved skills for jobs based in the Keys.
Our Club gives priority to vocational Scholarships. These scholarships are for adults of all ages and applications are accepted throughout the year. Some of our recent scholarship recipients have received funding for training in EMT/Paramedics, Firefighter, Law Enforcement, Advanced Teaching and Culinary Arts, as well as BA and BS degrees.
Traditional college scholarship are also available to Coral Shores High School and Upper Keys home schooled seniors. Vocational Scholarships are also available to all Coral Shores High School and Upper Keys home schooled seniors.
