    Instructor: Alexandra Alvarez

  • Key West High School is happy to welcome Alexandra Alvarez as the Girls Lacrosse Coach in the 2018 season.

    Throughout college, Alexandra balanced a rigorous academic schedule in which she graduated in three years while producing a successful three year lacrosse career at Saint Leo University. As a defensive midfielder, Alexandra saw action in games by causing turnovers, winning ground balls, and assisting on draw controls.

    She led an influential career through 2017 where her academic prowess continued to shine. Alexandra was named to the 2016 and 2017 Spring SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll and was a 2017 D2ADA Academic Achievement Award Honoree.

    Alexandra was a four year varsity letter winner ay University High School for John Hansen in Orlando, FL. She now serves as a third grade teacher at the Basilica School of Sait Mary Star of the Sea in Key West. Alexandra had her first successful season coaching the Girls Middle School Basketball team for the Basilica School throughout the fall of 2017.

    "I feel extremely blessed to join the Key West High School community and for the opportunity to lead the Girls Lacrosse Program. As soon as I arrived on campus, I knew I wanted to be a part of Athletic Director Sarah Eckert's staff. My goal is to make this season the best season these girls have seen yet."
