Monroe County Schools will produce globally competitive students and outstanding citizens who are prepared to meet or exceed established standards for academic performance through a standards-based curriculum.
The Student Health Education instructional materials commonly referred to as the FLASH curriculum will be presented in grades 6-12 at all public schools during the spring of 2022. State statute provides the option for parents to opt-out of reproductive health or any disease instruction through a written objection. The objection form is linked below and can be submitted to your child's school data processor.
Materials are available for review at the November 16th, 2021 School Board Meeting or upon request from the Instructional Materials Department.
