The Monroe County School Board has approved the school calendar for the 2024-2025 school year.  Parents will note we have reduced the number of early release days; there are now only two on the calendar, one before the winter break and one on the last day of school. 

 We have opted this year to instead, provide more full-day "Professional days" to the calendar instead of the usual number of early release days. This decision was made after consulting with a group of teachers, parents and school administrators, all of whom thought this restructuring of our calendar was a good idea.

We have scheduled all of these Professional Days either before or after a weekend, giving our students and their families time to spend together; these days also give our teachers more time to plan, grade, and attend professional learning courses. These days will also be used as Hurricane make-up days if needed.
