Special Olympics Florida Monroe County will host the Area 11 Bocce and Cycle Games on Saturday, March 9th. Bocce Matches will take place at the Key West Bocce Courts and Cycle Races in the Parking Lot of Key West High School. This offers volunteer opportunities for students, clubs and staff. Volunteers will be able to check in as early as 7 am at both venues.
More than 100 athletes from Monroe and Miami Dade County will come together in the biggest competitive event of the year for both sports!
The volunteer needs are as follows:
Bocce score keepers (must have experience), lunch and breakfast servers, water station assistants (work with FKAA), Awards preparations and handing out (Bocce Courts), Staging athletes for matches and races at both venues, assisting at the cookie/art station to collect tickets and keep athletes in line while waiting to make cookie art, Fans in the Stands at the Cycle Races (start at 9 am at KWHS), Healthy Athletes assistance (take blood pressure and help do paperwork), timers for cycle races.

Special Note—Bocce Teams from Poinciana Elementary School, Gerald Adams Elementary School, Horace O'Bryant School and KWHS will be competing against Miami to qualify for State Games. Students from Marathon High School and KWHS racing in cycling.
