Please Read the Following Statement for Information About the Start of the School Year

GAE Community,

With the recent announcement of MCSD schools opening virtually, we wanted to let you know that we have been preparing for this possibility for months and we are ready to launch! While nothing can compare to having our students face-to-face learning in school, please be assured that our teachers have been researching, collaborating, and building their virtual platforms. We’ve learned a lot since March, and believe you will be pleased with the outcome. Here are a few things you can expect from us in the very near future:

1. Your child’s teacher will make personal contact with you on August 6th or 7th to guide your family into the new school year and answer any questions/ concerns you have at the time.
2. Each grade level will have a designated day during the week of August 10th through 14th to come to GAE to pick up a Chromebook (if needed), fill out beginning-of-the-year paperwork, and receive applicable resources from teachers. We will have staff in the front of the school, ready to assist. All you will need to do is pull your car into the drop-off circle and wait for assistance.
3. When your child begins virtual learning on August 13th or 17th, he/she will be greeted with a personalized, interactive experience which allows for flexibility, but also has an increased focus on individualized instruction.

At GAE, we’ve made it our personal mission to be the best at what we do. We are ready for virtual instruction. It is going to be fun, meaningful, and targeted. When the time comes for us to return to face-to-face instruction, we are ready to make a smooth transition with safety as the top priority.

See you soon!

-Your Dolphin Family
